RAINWATER HARVESTING
Braley-Gray can help you design and select rainwater-harvesting components from the various manufacturers we represent. We offer several rainwater-harvesting products including drains, filters, storage tanks, pumps, and purification systems to help meet your specific needs. To date, Braley-Gray has been involved in more than two dozen rainwater harvesting installations ranging from private reisdences to large commercial building systems. Fire Station #72 in Issaquah, WA is one of the most energy efficient fire stations in the world. It was designed to become the highest-rated LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) “platinum” fire station in the United States. Ecotope was the design consultant and Ramsett Mechanical was the installing contractor on the project.
Braley-Gray Washington furnished the storage tank, rainwater harvesting components, and pressure filtration system. The station features an 8,700-gallon Corgal storage tank that collects rainwater from the station’s roof. The harvested water is then filtered and used to flush toilets, wash trucks and clean laundry. This system saves more than 55,000 gallons of water per year and provides nearly 96 percent of the station’s water needs. JR Smith rainwater harvesting filters and tank components were utilized for an easy to operate, maintenance friendly system.
